Art has always been more than something I create! it is how I make sense of the world.
As a self-taught artist working primarily with acrylics, oils, and mixed media, I create pieces that invite emotion before explanation. Whether through expressive portraits, abstract forms, or culturally inspired collections, my work explores the memories, feelings, and quiet moments that connect us all.
My artistic journey began in Istanbul, where I immersed myself in learning the foundations of oil painting under the guidance of master artists. After moving to Dubai, that journey continued, giving me the opportunity to study with accomplished artists from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, including Iran, India, and beyond. Each mentor brought a unique perspective, enriching not only my technical skills but also the way I approach storytelling through art.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I built my career in interior design. That background naturally shaped the way I understand colour, composition, mood, and atmosphere. Creating spaces that evoke feeling taught me how colour influences emotion, a philosophy that continues to guide every canvas I paint.
Growing up in the UK, living in Istanbul, and now creating from Dubai has shaped the way I see the world. Experiencing different cultures, places, and stories has deepened my appreciation for the beauty found in both our differences and the emotions we all share. These experiences naturally weave themselves into my work, not as limitations, but as layers of inspiration.
Each collection has its own voice. Some explore heritage, identity, and the traces left by time. Others celebrate femininity, resilience, vulnerability, or the unspoken emotions we often struggle to put into words. Rather than following one style or subject, I allow each body of work to grow organically, led by curiosity, emotion, and lived experience.
My hope is that every painting creates a personal connection. I don’t believe art has to be understood in the same way by everyone. Instead, I want each viewer to bring their own memories, feelings, and interpretations, discovering something uniquely their own within the work.
If one of my paintings makes you pause, remember, feel, or simply see something differently, then it has already found its purpose.
